  All occupational therapy students are registered with APHRA by the university when commencing the course.  Please read the information on the AHPRA website regarding student registration.

Reporting and Recording Absence from PEP

The Master of Occupational Therapy Course meets the World Federation of Occupational Therapists (WFOT) education standards to offer 1000 hours of placement experience.   Ensure you plan for a 100% attendance expectation for practice education placements.

Any absence, whether planned or unexpected, must be recorded. In the event of illness or circumstances resulting in absence, you must:

• notify your practice educator;
• notify the Practice Education Coordinator; and
• obtain documented evidence regarding the absence (e.g., Medical Certificate/s, Statutory Declaration explanation). Instructions for submitting evidence of absence will be provided to you.
