Catholic Education St Thomas Aquinas internship program
Are you interested in being trained in a school as a paid Cadet Teacher for 1-2 days a week, every week, throughout the length of your degree?
Are you interested in an annual $2500 scholarship, plus a laptop computer, together with weekly support from a mentor teacher?
If so, Catholic Education Tasmania’s St Thomas Aquinas Teaching School is looking for Bachelor of Education students or Master of Teaching students who are interested in joining their Cadet Teacher Program and working for Catholic Education Tasmania as a Teacher at the end of their degree.
You will be given opportunities to engage with teachers and students and experience the life of a teacher in a Catholic school right from the very beginning. You will be supported through weekly “Insight Sessions” which focus on understanding the Catholic faith, developing classroom teaching skills, religious education, and weekly feedback sessions.
At the end of your degree and successful completion of your Cadetship you will be offered a teaching position in a Catholic Education Tasmania school.
