Opening Hours

The University Club opens at 8:30am, offering breakfast options as well as delicious coffee, with lunch from 11:45 (kitchen open until 2:15pm). Reusable coffee cups are welcomed, but please ensure they are clean before you hand them over.

Room Hire

The Club's two function rooms may be hired by Club members or for University functions at a reduced rate as well as by members of the public at the full rate. The Alan Bray room (max 40 seated, 50 standing) features integrated video conferencing facilities including ceiling mounted microphones, front and rear cameras and Zoom installed on the in-room PC. The Geoff Cheesman room is the Club's main dining room, with larger capacity (140 seated, 200 standing) and a pull-down projection screen.

Enquire about booking either the Alan Bray or Geoff Cheesman room for your next meeting or event by contacting Pickled Pear on 0456 547 353 or via hello@pickledpear.au and they will do the rest.

Full day bookings are 9am – 5pm during business hours. Half day bookings are for up to 4 hours between 9am – 4pm during business hours.

If your function will involve the service of alcohol then a member must be present at the event. If you're not currently a member then consider joining. Our annual fee is inexpensive. Otherwise, at the time of making your booking, just advise our caterer Pickled Pear the name of one of the members who will be present at your event.

Payment Options

  • Those arranging University events should first contact Pickled Pear to confirm room availability and then raise a purchase order through PurchaseNow (Marketplace)
  • Members and non-members may pay by credit card via our caterer Pickled Pear
  • Alternatively, payment can be made by EFT to the account below but only if the invoice number and date are included in the "To Account" description and a remittance advice is sent at the same time to: Uni.Club@utas.edu.au
