Why study an honours degree?

Increased Employability

Specialised Skills

Develop critical thinking, specialised knowledge, and research skills, which are highly valued in various industries.

Pathway to PhD

An honours degree is a pathway to a PhD or other higher degrees by research.

What is honours?

An honours degree is a one-year* program that builds on your undergraduate and postgraduate coursework studies. It will include a research project in your chosen field and, depending on your course, may involve advanced coursework. An honours year is for students who have achieved well academically in their studies and want to learn more through research.

*Based on full-time duration. Many honours degrees are available on a part-time basis.
