Career opportunities

Postgraduate education study can help you deepen your expertise, expand your impact, and take your career in new directions. Whether you're looking to lead change in your school, specialise in a particular area, or step into a more strategic role, further study provides the tools and confidence to grow as an educator and leader.

Educational leaders who are passionate about enhancing schools and creating outstanding learning environments make excellent candidates for leadership roles. Roles such as:

  • Lead teachers | Collaborate with fellow teachers, school administration, and parents to ensure a positive and productive experience for the entire school community.
  • Faculty/department coordinators | Manage a single department and set goals and standards for the faculty.
  • Year group coordinators | These roles serve as the link between school and home, supporting children and their families during challenging periods. Fundamentally, their role is to remove barriers for the most vulnerable children, enabling them to access education without being disadvantaged compared to their peers.
  • Principals, assistant principals/headteachers | The principal leads and manages the planning, delivery, evaluation and improvement of the education of all students, and they have a clear set of accountabilities. The assistant principal has primary responsibility for managing significant areas within the school. In exercising the responsibility, assistant principals have the authority to make all significant decisions relating to the program.
