Explore the Future of Tech at the ICT Showcase

Graduating students from the University of Tasmania’s School of Information and Communication Technology (ICT) will present their final-year capstone projects in an interactive poster and demonstration session on Tuesday 28 October.

The school session will run from 10:45am to 1:15pm and we kindly ask that schools plan to stay for the full duration. The event includes scheduled activities and guided tours, so it's not set up for drop-in visits.

We warmly invite Tasmanian students in Years 9–12 who are curious about computer science, information technology and systems, gaming, cybersecurity, and emerging tech to attend. This is a unique opportunity to:

  • Visit the School of ICT facilities
  • Meet potential future lecturers and tutors from the School of ICT
  • Engage directly with graduating students about their projects
  • Discover the diverse and exciting futures available in ICT

Approximately 20 student projects will be on display, offering hands-on insights into real-world applications of technology, from app development and AI to game design and data science.
