About the program

Young Tassie Scientists are early career researchers and STEMM professionals who are excited to share their work through interactive talks and hands-on activities as part of National Science Week celebrations. They help engage and inspire students to learn about science and science-related careers across a range of disciplines – and also provide teachers with the opportunity to build their knowledge of current research.

Find out more about this year’s scientists and apply for a school visit at the Young Tassie Scientist website.

Applications for 2025 now open until 30 June. Schools which have applied will be contacted in July 2025 to confirm visits.
