Master of  Speech Pathology

The Master of Speech Pathology will prepare you to study, diagnose and treat communication and swallowing disorders, working with people across a range of different contexts in which speech pathologists work. This course focuses on socially, ethically, and culturally sensitive solutions to communication and swallowing problems experienced across the lifespan.

Biomedicine

Biomedicine is the study of the sciences which underpin human medicine. The application of these sciences can improve our understanding of human health and create new ways to diagnose and treat diseases.

Our biomedicine course is designed and taught by active medical researchers at the Tasmanian School of Medicine and the School of Health Sciences. It also draws on the expertise of our specialist research and teaching institutes: the Menzies Institute for Medical Research, and the Wicking Dementia Research and Education Centre.

Dementia Care

The Diploma of Dementia Care is particularly relevant for carers, aged care and community health workers, and anyone with an interest in learning more about dementia. You’ll develop a deep understanding so that you can make a positive difference to the lives of people living with dementia. It’s suitable for those with or without formal qualifications and includes digital literacy and skill-building activities. There are also no exams, with assessments including discussion board activities, quizzes, oral presentations and written assignments.
